Daily paper tickets will be available for Gippsland line customers wishing to continue their travel on the metropolitan network or local Gippsland bus network.
Bairnsdale customers will still need to book a ticket on their service and will be issued a paper ticket for their entire journey free of charge.
Customers starting their journey at a premium metropolitan station can ask the station staff for a paper ticket for a single or return journey to Gippsland which can be used for travel in the metropolitan network.
The normal fare will apply for travel on scheduled V/Line coaches, including services to and from Maffra, Lakes Entrance, Southern New South Wales and South Gippsland.
Customers with a myki pass valid during the free travel period and customers who accidentally touch-on their myki on a free service can apply for a reimbursement by calling 1800 800 007 or visiting www.feedback.ptv.vic.gov.au.
