Gippslander Serong wins AFL 'Goal of the Year'

Former Gippsland Power player Caleb Serong has been awarded the AFL's Goal of the Year.

Now with Fremantle, Serong sealed a game against crosstown rivals West Coast in August with a spectacular one-step checkside.

The Goal of the Year is the Gippslander's third major award in his two-year AFL career after taking out the 2020 Rising Star and 2021 Coaches Association Best Young Player award.
