Fire Safety Outreach Program available to help get us fired up and prepared

Fire Action Week, 19 to 25 October, is Victoria’s annual fire planning and preparation awareness week. It's an opportunity to increase your understanding of the fire risk where you live, prepare your property, and talk to your loved ones about what you’ll do to stay safe from fire.

Making informed decisions is vital to your safety during a fire. Now is the best time to understand your fire risk and get prepared.

The Country Fire Authority South East Region community safety team has developed a Fire Safety Outreach Program for the residents of Gippsland.

The Fire Safety Outreach Program is a free service for community members and professionals to access information and fire safety information from experienced CFA personnel.

Find out about:
• Bushfire planning for your household
• Property preparation for bushfire
• Understanding the fire danger ratings
• Where to gain trusted information during emergencies
• Fire restrictions, what you can and cannot do
• Home fire safety information
• Support education sessions for your community groups and clubs

CFA community education officers will get in touch at a time that suits, via whatever communication method that works for you.

Let’s make this week a time to get your household bushfire survival plan and property preparation organised.
