Speaking to Port Adelaide TV, Duursma said he was excited to re-sign with the club.

"It's great to be back at the club for another 2 years, i'm very excited to get the chance to be here for some more, i'm loving it so far and the club and I came to a bit of a decision and i'm happy to be here"

"It's obviously not easy (starting out), it's good fun though just trying to learn, you've obviously got the older boys that you can ask questions off and all the coaches are there to help you"

"You have your ups and downs, some parts are challenging but the rewards at the end of the day is great and getting to run out there every week so far has been fantastic, I can't thank the club enough for giving me those opportunities".
