Kyle Dunkley set to make his AFL Debut

Former Gippsland Power player Kyle Dunkley has been selected to make his AFL debut, when the Melbourne Demons face Carlton this afternoon (July 7th).

The 19-year-old midfielder was selected at pick 3 in the AFL's mid season draft by the Demons, after dominant early season form for both Gippsland Power and Footscray's VFL side.

He has impressed in his 6 VFL matches so far, hitting the scoreboard regularly for both Footscray and the Casey Demons booting 8 goals between the clubs.

Kyle was given the news of his first game by older brother and Western Bulldogs played Josh, who caught the moment on hidden camera.

Dunkley will have been an AFL listed player for just 43 days when he steps on the field this afternoon, he will wear the number 48.

The match begins at 1:10pm at the MCG.
